Other reviews talk about the 'scratchiness' of Shetland wool. It is not Merino, it is thicker, and less soft. Not meant to be worn next to the skin. This sweater is well-made, warm in a VT chilly office, nice color. I ordered a Large because I wanted an oversized look; am 5'6, 145 or so, pear shaped; I think it's bit too pricey, even for a Pendleton. Not made in China is nice.Good quality product. yes it is a tiny bit scratchy but if you're used to wearing wool it's just the normal scratchy. I had to return because although it fit me, the seam on the shoulders came down to far- like a man's sweater- and although I like an oversized look, it looked strange & like I was wearing a men's sweater. Very nice color though & they were great about the return. You do have to pay shipping but they provide the label.I can not find affordable natural materials anywhere with buttons on a cardigan, but here it is. I only wish it were a little softer to the touch.Very well made not bulky, lose fitting . defiantly good for bigger women True american size. Just wish it was cashmere or Merino wool.. you would want to were long sleeves and a turtle neck or a scarf.. Its a little on the scratchier around my neck had to wear a silk scarf.. But warm and a good sweater for around the house...This sweater was clearly worn for some time. It has food stains on outside and in. Looks like chocolate (hope!) No tags of course. Got in mail today so wanted to provide pics right away in case I return and accused of returning dirty. Only reason I may keep it, is that I had it on wishlist a long time, replacing a lost, very similar one. Price dropped 30% so got it. Not what I'd expect from zappo's.
